Product Review: Laneige Star White Multi-Protector SPF40+++

This was the laneige sunblock. This sunblock although in cream type but it quite easy to absorb into my skin and non greasy at all. I applied for whole day and when i sweat also wont melt and not greasy. Though was SPF 40, it not oily and quite easy to apply on face. No residue left. Wont make my skin looks oily and "white face looking". I quite like it. Got some fragrance smell.

This sunblock was a dual-functional(whitening and uv protection) lotion containing melasolv that lightens skin. Effectively protects against UVA and UVB rays. It also provides some skin correction effects for base makeup. Besides, it also contain S.T.A.R. white complex to keep your skin clear and bright. It penetrate rapidly,leaving skin radiant and fresh.

The ingredients inside the sunblock:

• Arbutin ( for whitening purpose)
  
• Rubus Idaeus (raspberry) fruit extract(Smoothing, Keratolytic, Astringent, Tonic)
  
• Vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract (skin protecting and soothing)
  
• Actinidia chinensis (kiwi) fruit extract (Emollient and skin conditioning)
• Atelocollagen (skin conditioning)
  
• beta glucan (skin conditioning and bulking agent)
  
• citrus medica limonum (lemon) fruit extract (skin conditioning and fragrance)
  
• morus bombycis root extract (skin conditioning)
  
• Musa sapientum (banana) fruit extract (skin conditioning)
  
• Saxifraga sarmentosa extract (skin conditioning)
  
• scutellaria balcalensis root extract (skin conditioning, soothing and astringent)
  
• solanum lycopersicum (tomato) fruit,leaf, stem extract (skin conditioning and astringent)
  
• vitis vinifera(grape) fruit extract (skin conditioning)
  
• citrus unshiu peel extract (masking and skin conditioning)
• Titanium oxide(sunscreen agent, ultraviolet light absorber)
  

Quite lots of ingredients for skin conditioning. The active whitening ingredient just the arbutin which is famous for whitening purpose. Many whitening products include this whitening ingredient. Besides that, those raspberry, blueberry, kiwi, lemon and tomato have whitening ability too. Mainly are fruits. Those fruits have mild effect on our skin and won't harsh to our skin. This sunblock dont have PABA (Para-Aminobenzoic acid) which cause skin allergy. But it still have those paraben and fragrance for this product. Paraben used to preserve the product so the product can use longer for more than 6 months. Like organic products normally without paraben thus it only can up to few months or max 6 months. Without additive paraben, product will easy get bacteria infection and the smell and colour of the product change. Fragrance also believe can cause cancer and hyperpigmentation. Hopefully the fragrance can remove from most of the sunblock. As we only want apply sunblock and not fragrance on face. Of course, we dont want funny smell( chemical smell) from sunblock..:)
